Description

Patient is a 24 year-old woman who is accompanied by her mom and presents to my office to discuss nose reshaping surgery (rhinoplasty). They were referred to me as their New Jersey plastic surgeon by a friend who is a patient of mine. This 24 year-old woman complains of external nasal deformity. She claims that she dislikes the hump on her nasal bridge and feels that the base of her nose is wide and that her upper lip is short. She particularly dislikes her nose on profile.Physical examination confirms the nasal dorsal convexity and the wide bony base. There is a prominence of the nasal spine, rounding the nasal labial angle. The tip dips on active smiling. There is a slight nasal septal deviation, but airflow is not terribly restricted. There is a fairly large turbinate on the right.I offered this healthy, young woman, an aesthetic rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) to be performed in my New Jersey plastic surgery facility. On the morning of surgery, she came to my New Jersey plastic surgery facility for her aesthetic rhinoplasty. She met my highly skilled team of O.R. nurses (most of whom she met during her consultation and pre-operative visits) as well as my board certified anesthesiologist. Following her plastic surgery New Jersey rhinoplasty, she recovered with our plastic surgery nurse before being discharged for home with her mother. The following day she returned to my office to have her packing removed. She was very surprised that although she had bruising she had no pain. She returned to my office a week later for splint removal at which time she was able to return to most of her daily activities. She is very happy with her early results and can expect to see subtle changes over the next several months.

Description

Patient is a 17 year-old young man who is accompanied by his mom and presents to my office complaining about difficult nasal breathing through the left side of his nose, as well as an external aesthetic deformity. Being referred by another one of my patients, he has chosen me to be his cosmetic surgeon in New Jersey. My examination of his nose reveals a deviation of the nasal septum at the caudal end at the internal valve to the left with severe restriction on airflow. This is a physical blockage of the internal valve by the deviated septum. His external nose is remarkable for a large dorsal hump and poor tip projection.I reviewed the patient’s findings and complaints and offered him a cosmetic rhinoplasty (nose reshaping) and correction of his nasal septum to restore breathing function. After having a thorough discussion with his family, he decided to have his procedure in my fully accredited New Jersey plastic surgery facility. On the morning of surgery, he came to my New Jersey plastic surgery facility for his rhinoplasty (nose reshaping). He met my highly skilled team of O.R. nurses (most of whom he met during his consultation and pre-operative visits) as well as my board certified anesthesiologist. Following his procedure, he recovered with my plastic surgery RN before being discharged for home. The patient did very well after surgery. The following day, he returned to my office to have his packing removed and was able to return to school in just over a week. He and his mother were ecstatic with the natural, refined appearance of his surgery. He is pictured only a few months from surgery so his final result can not be fully appreciated. He can expect continued improvement and refinement over the next several months. (Rhinoplasty can take a year or so for final results due to small amounts of swelling).

Description

Patient is a 30 year-old woman who complains that she has always hated her nose, particularly the bump on the nasal bridge. She explains that her goal is having a natural look, a nose that fits her face. Right now she feels as though her nose dominates her face, especially in profile.Physical examination reveals a nasal dorsal convexity with a fairly narrow root, narrow base and appropriately narrow tip on a heart shaped face. Air movement is good. The tip is pulled down with animation and smiling and the upper lip is a bit short. As her cosmetic surgeon in New Jersey, it too is my goal to make her nose more suitable to her face. Together we discussed her rhinoplasty procedure, her expectations, as well as recovery time and time missed from work. She understands that her final result will take several months or more.On the morning of surgery, she came to my New Jersey plastic surgery facility for her rhinoplasty (nose reshaping). She met my highly skilled team of O.R. nurses (most of whom he met during her consultation and pre-operative visits) as well as my board certified anesthesiologist. Following her procedure, she recovered with my plastic surgery nurse before being discharged for home. The patient did very well after her New Jersey plastic surgery. The following day, she returned to my office to have her packing removed. A week later her splint was removed and was able to return to work. She and her husband are very pleased with her natural, refined appearance . She is pictured only a few months after surgery so her final result can not be fully appreciated. Description

This patient is a 17 year old female who presented to my office along with her parents to discuss rhinoplasty. She complained that she did not like her profile in photographs and felt that the base of her nose was too wide for her face. She was hoping that having a rhinoplasty would give a softer, more feminine look. After a thorough discussion with her and her parents, I found her request and expectations for rhinoplasty to be reasonable and agreed to perform her cosmetic rhinoplasty. Her photographs are approximately 6 weeks after surgery. As you can see, she already had a great result and she will continue to get further improvement over the next several weeks.

Description

This 21 year old college student presented to my New Jersey Plastic Surgery office accompanied by her mother seeking rhinoplasty. She complained that her nose was too big for her face and that it also projected far too much. She also wanted her bridge to be straight as well. Our goal was to make modifications to her nose that would bring her face in balance. She was greatly concerned because she had never had surgery before and naturally was nervous about anesthesia. After having a second lengthy conversation, this patient was assured about her decision to have rhinoplasty in my fully accredited operating facility with my Board Certified Anesthesiologist and fully trained plastic surgery nursing team and as you can see she has a wonderful outcome. The first post operative photos seen here are approximately 3 months old and then they were taken again at one year. This patient is very happy with her result and has much more self confidence.
