Venus Freeze™

Many adults are bothered by the look of loose skin and excess fat in their lower faces, exacerbating the appearance of jowls, a double chin, and other concerns. Surgery can help, but it’s not always the best choice for everyone. If you’re in search of a treatment that goes deeper than creams or lotions but you aren’t sure you’re ready for surgical intervention such as a facelift, Venus Freeze may give you the results you desire. Body contouring specialist and board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Richard D’Amico offers this comfortable, non-invasive skin tightening treatment in Englewood, NJ. It offers many impressive benefits*, including:

  • No incisions or anesthesia necessary; most patients say the treatment is quite comfortable
  • No recovery time; return to your normal activities immediately
  • Results can last indefinitely with occasional touch-up treatments

Who Is a Good Candidate?

The best candidates for Venus Freeze are men and women from Englewood and surrounding areas who are bothered by lower facial aging but may not yet have symptoms significant enough to benefit from facelift surgery. Similarly, many candidates simply prefer a non-surgical approach to facial rejuvenation. Although Venus Freeze won’t create exactly the same results as a facelift, the alternative has given the New Jersey patients of plastic surgeon Dr. Richard D’Amico a strong tool for addressing many of the same areas of concern, such as lax, sagging skin and fat deposits.

How Venus Freeze Works

This exciting treatment harnesses the power of multi-polar radiofrequency and magnetic pulsed fields to apply energy beneath the skin using a specialized handpiece. Throughout the 30-minute treatment, most patients report a warm, pleasant sensation, similar to a massage, as the magnetic pulses are delivered to the structural tissues below the skin.*

This energy kick-starts the body’s own healing processes to promote increased production of collagen and elastin, 2 important proteins that are responsible for keeping the skin supple and resilient. The thermal energy a Venus Freeze treatment creates also reduces the volume of targeted fat cells to slim the chin and neck. With this twofold approach, patients enjoy sleeker facial contours, reduced wrinkles, and an overall younger-looking appearance*.

Venus Freeze works well on its own or as a complement to liposuction. Dr. D’Amico helps you decide whether you could benefit from Venus Freeze or another facial procedure.

Recovery & Results

One of Venus Freeze’s best advantages is that it requires no downtime. Our patients can get back to their favorite activities immediately following treatment.
In order to significantly repair the targeted connective tissue, several treatments spaced about 1 week* apart are required. During your consultation for Venus Freeze, Dr. D’Amico examines your areas of concern and develops an ideal timeline that addresses your needs without interfering with your schedule.

Over the course of several weeks of treatment, your new look begins to appear. Patients generally notice their fat deposits shrinking, defining the profile and reducing the appearance of a double chin. As collagen develops and the skin begins to contract, the area around the neck and jaw appear smoother and tighter, with fewer wrinkles*. Once the initial series of treatments is complete, Dr. D’Amico recommends occasional “touch-up” treatments once every few months to maintain results long-term and stay ahead of the aging process.*
