How we perform Hydrosolve

After making minute incisions, he removed fat through a special liposuction cannula (a slender tube) using low-energy Tissue Liquefaction Technology™ (TLT).
HydraSolve uses warm, low-pressure water to loosen fat cells and transform them from a solid to a liquid. Because the fat is liquefied, Dr. D’Amico & Dr. Ferrauiola can gently and precisely manipulate the cannula to extract the targeted fat cells without affecting the surrounding tissue.

After your HydraSolve procedure, Dr. D’Amico & Dr. Ferrauiola will provide you with detailed instructions to enhance your recovery. How is HydraSolve less aggressive than other liposuction methods?
HydraSolve is a non-cutting liposuction system that is based on Tissue Liquefaction Technology™ (TLT) used for precision cataract surgery. Using a low-pressure stream of a warm saline solution, HydraSolve simultaneously liquefies and removes fat. It also uses a unique rounded aperture that eliminates the need for forceful thrusting and, unlike the sharpened edges of cannulas used in other types of liposuction, doesn’t cut tissue.
What’s the difference between water-assisted liposuction and HydraSolve?
Although both water-assisted liposuction and HydraSolve use water, the similarities end there. In water-assisted liposuction, a high-pressure stream is ejected from the cannula to forcefully wash the fat from the attached connective tissue. Although jets of water can be forceful enough to cut through tissue, the pressure used in this technique is lowered to avoid cutting non-fat tissue. After the water flushes through the area being suctioned, the sharpened cannula apertures remove the fat as in other aggressive liposuction techniques.
Can HydraSolve be used for revision liposuction?
Yes, the gentle liposuction system is an ideal way to repair contour abnormalities that resulted from more traditional liposuction procedures.
If the HydraSolve liposuction method is gentler, is the recovery shorter?
In most cases, yes. HydraSolve is designed to cause minimal bruising or pain by reducing damage to surrounding blood vessels, nerves, and connective tissues. Most patients can return to work a few days after the procedure. More strenuous physical activities can be resumed within 2 weeks.*
Can you use the fat extracted during HydraSolve liposuction to enhance another part of my body?
Autologous fat grafting — using fat taken from one part of your body and implanting it into another area — is an increasingly popular procedure. Using fat extracted during a HydraSolve procedure was recently cleared by the FDA and is a natural alternative to dermal fillers. In fact, the liquefied fat removed during HydraSolve is excellent donor fat for a grafting procedure because the vast majority of it consists of healthy fat cells rather than damaged ones.
