Dr. Julie Ferrauiola is plastic and reconstructive surgeon who joined Dr. D’Amico in practice in Englewood, NJ in July of 2019 after completing her training at University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. Dr. Ferrauiola’s training specializes in comprehensive plastic surgery, including cosmetic and aesthetic, Breast reconstruction, body contouring, reconstructive and microsurgery, facial trauma, hand surgery and a spectrum of non-surgical rejuvenations.
Dr. Ferrauiola is an active candidate member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) with appointments to the Legislative Advocacy Committee and Regenerative Medicine Sub-committee. Additionally, she was the first resident selected for the ASPS Essentials of Leadership program, recognizing future leaders of the specialty.
Dr. Ferrauiola is also an American Board of Surgery certified general surgeon. She did her 5 years of general surgery training at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Born at Engelwood Hospital and raised in Tenafly, NJ, Dr. Ferrauiola should have known she was destined for plastic surgery when she was six years old watching Dr. D’Amico sew up her 4-year-old sister’s facial laceration. She initially chose a different path and pursued private fine arts training in the visual art studio of Soyoo Park. She earned the NJ Governor of the Arts Scholarship and then worked in fashion design and fine arts industry for several years before embracing her true calling to bettering human lives. Dr. D’Amico has served as a mentor and exemplar throughout her medical training, and she looks forward to returning home and joining Dr. D’Amico in serving the cosmetic, plastic, and reconstructive surgical needs of our community.
